Homesickness in the Heart

I’ve shamelessly thieved this from All The Stuff And All The Things – with whom I have a December assignation in Brussels to get shitfaced drunk on subsidised European  gin and right all the perceived wrongs in the world – but our sentiment is still the same.

We miss the ‘burgh like a dull aching thing that sometimes stabs you in the eye othertimes pulls at your guts. This city holds more of me and more of my heart than anywhere on earth. And it will keep pulling me back there until the day I die. Like the beautiful bitch it is.

About ohhellwhatthehell

I like gin, mittens and otters, not necessarily in that order. Here's some stuff I felt like writing down when I'm not chained to a desk writing other things for a living. Please use caution when using this site; there may be sweary words, cute animals and general bullshit. Don't say I didn't fucking warn you.

  1. I know, right? *sniff*
But, BUT, we will sort the shit out of All The Things come Drink for Jesus month. Brussels has been warned.

  2. Drink for Jesus and the Eurozone and for Health and Happiness and for Funsies and because it’s Been Too Fucking Long. And by that I mean about seven years, give or bloody take. Christ, we have a lot of gin to make up for.

  3. Also, I shall be travelling on both my Australian and Uk (when I finally get it replaced cos it expired three years ago and it costs $300 to replace) passports so I shall be International woman of Mystery and Gin. Can one buy Duty Free on EDN-BRX flights?
